We will need your marriage certificate in order to start a divorce.
If you have been married for more than 1 year and are usually resident in the UK, you can get divorced here
You can only get divorced if you can show that your marriage has broken down based on one of five facts:-

- adultery
- separation for 2 or 5 years
To file a divorce application there is a court fee of £550. If you are on low income or benefits you may be able to obtain a reduction of the full or partial fee.
An uncontested divorce is one where the other party returns a form stating that they agree to let the divorce proceed.
